The annual Keech Pond Property Owners’ Association meeting for 2025 will be held at the Glocester Town Hall on Thursday, May 15th at 6:30 PM. Please use the rear entrance.

A letter from KPPOA President Andy Goulet...

Dear Member,

I would like to extend to you an invitation to our annual general membership meeting to be held on May 15th at 6:30 PM at the Glocester Town Hall rear entrance.

The meeting will introduce the various Board Members in their respective regions around the Pond.

The topics we cover at the meeting include boating safety, such as the direction to navigate your boat. We also have DEM guidelines regarding what is acceptable on our pond concerning boat motor size and navigating speeds. The main theme is to have respect and courtesy for all folks using Keech Pond, whether you have a powerboat, kayak, canoe, paddle board, or pedal boat. We are happy to announce we will have a guest speaker, Anthony Esposito "Environmental Police Officer", to speak about boating safety.

Finally, we also touch on how we should be vigilant and aware of how, as members, how we can impact the water quality of our pond, such as the use of fertilizer on your lawn, and the routine maintenance of your private sewer systems especially if your property is waterfront. One of our board members, Val Begin, has religiously gathered water samples for over 25 years and taken readings of the pond's clarity during the Spring and Summer seasons to be delivered to the URI lab for testing, and we display those results at this meeting. So, we are much in tune with the overall water quality

We strongly urge you to register on Keechpond.com for information and blogs on various topics about our organization, notices like pond lowering, pond raising and DEM notifications as we experienced last summer with Blue Algae warning.

We hope to see you on the 15th.

Respectfully,

Andy Goulet
